The Rugged Elegance Foundation provides leaders with the venues and tools needed to pause and reflect deeply on their purpose at this unique point in human history.

The Retreat: SF

In 2021, The Retreat: SF hosted over 100 leaders for a one-of-a-kind experience called a “Day to Breathe.”  This day-long retreat offers BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and women leaders a chance to rest, recharge, and reconnect with their higher purpose and what drives them forward. This is the necessary pause that allows leaders to shift from tunnel vision focused on the tactical, urgent, and reactive tasks to a focus on strategic, important, and proactive thinking.

The Retreat: ME

At The Retreat: ME BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and women leaders are invited to deeply connect with their purpose over a “Weekend to Breathe.” During this weekend, hand-picked leaders collaborate with the founders of the Rugged Elegance Foundation — Jennifer Carolyn King and Timothy Fredel — finding connections and synergies to amplify their mission and impact the world.
